{"id":16524,"date":"2014-06-17T15:18:27","date_gmt":"2014-06-17T21:18:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ishmaels.net\/blog\/?p=16524"},"modified":"2014-06-17T15:18:27","modified_gmt":"2014-06-17T21:18:27","slug":"scotland-day-7","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ishmaels.net\/blog\/2014\/06\/17\/scotland-day-7\/","title":{"rendered":"Scotland Day 7"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Walking down hill&#8230;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>Today started with a <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>bus<\/strong> <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>tour<\/strong> of Edinburgh&#8230; now that is interesting in a 40 ft <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>bus<\/strong> on these streets..<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"621\" style=\"margin: 5px\" width=\"640\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ishmaels.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/IMG_1035.jpg?resize=640%2C621\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"480\" style=\"margin: 5px\" width=\"640\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ishmaels.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/IMG_1031.jpg?resize=640%2C480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We went around and around and around and up and down&#8230; good it was on the bus&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Our aim was to get to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.edinburghcastle.gov.uk\/\">Edinburgh Castle<\/a>&#8230; which is on the top of the hill&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"480\" style=\"margin: 5px\" width=\"640\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ishmaels.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/IMG_1027.jpg?resize=640%2C480\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"480\" style=\"margin: 5px\" width=\"640\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ishmaels.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/IMG_1062.jpg?resize=640%2C480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On the <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>bus<\/strong> <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>tour<\/strong> we saw a round church&#8230; some preachers do not like to get into a corner?<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"480\" style=\"margin: 5px\" width=\"640\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ishmaels.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/IMG_1120.jpg?resize=640%2C480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We got close to the <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>castle<\/strong> and had to walk up\u00a0 some&#8230; and thousands of <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>people<\/strong> were doing the same&#8230; man it was crowded&#8230; <\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"640\" border=\"\" width=\"480\" style=\"margin: 5px\" class=\"\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ishmaels.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/IMG_1123.jpg?resize=480%2C640\" title=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Still winding up the path&#8230; be in there soon?<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"480\" style=\"margin: 5px\" width=\"640\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ishmaels.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/IMG_1143.jpg?resize=640%2C480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Once into the main section&#8230; the middle part is the real castle, all the other stuff is supportive and additive stuff&#8230; museums for the WW 1 veterans, the Scot Dragons, etc&#8230; and housing and other stuff&#8230; <\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"640\" style=\"margin: 5px\" width=\"431\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ishmaels.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/IMG_1186.jpg?resize=431%2C640\" \/><\/p>\n<p>but the crowds were overwhelming&#8230; small entries, small stairs and thousands of <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>people<\/strong> trying to get in&#8230; things like the small chapel that was on the ground &#8230; maybe room for 15 <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>people<\/strong> and when I went in there ended dup 25 to 30 before some of us could get out&#8230; <\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"508\" style=\"margin: 5px\" width=\"640\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ishmaels.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/IMG_1136.jpg?resize=640%2C508\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Well it didn&#8217;t take me long to see all I could stand and we were on our way down&#8230; fortunate the mile plus back to the hotel was all down hill&#8230; although it included a ton of shops&#8230;and some <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>people<\/strong> had to stop in almost all of them &#8230; looking for that perfect gift&#8230; <\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"640\" style=\"margin: 5px\" width=\"480\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ishmaels.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/IMG_1188.jpg?resize=480%2C640\" \/><\/p>\n<p>on our way down and looking for that gift?
