{"id":16505,"date":"2014-06-16T21:59:26","date_gmt":"2014-06-17T03:59:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ishmaels.net\/blog\/?p=16505"},"modified":"2014-06-16T21:59:26","modified_gmt":"2014-06-17T03:59:26","slug":"scotland-day-6","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ishmaels.net\/blog\/2014\/06\/16\/scotland-day-6\/","title":{"rendered":"Scotland Day 6"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Too much stuff, will be updated when I get time to post it all&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Left Aberdeen and headed to <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>ABC<\/strong> 6 or 12?&nbsp; This <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>one<\/strong> is the Queen mothers home <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>castle<\/strong> &#8230;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.glamis-castle.co.uk\/\"> Glamis Castle<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 5px;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ishmaels.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/IMG_0461.jpg?resize=640%2C400\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Strange that the main part is the tall portions and the two sides&#8230; big rooms in the lower portions as the tall pices was added on to several times and has some very old small halls, then some bigger stuff&#8230; and a <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>lot<\/strong> of up, down, around and over and up and over and down steps to different sections&#8230; and we only got up to the second floor&#8230; the tops floors have been closed off for about 100 years&#8230; well closed to any activity&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>The layout is much bigger still<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 5px;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ishmaels.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/IMG_0471.jpg?resize=640%2C480\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In this <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>picture<\/strong> all the stuff to the <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>right<\/strong> ??? no idea what that is&#8230; <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>lot<\/strong> more building that way so may be offices, workers quarters, etc&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Nice location and dramatic coming in&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>After that we headed to<a href=\"http:\/\/www.visitstandrews.com\/about\/the-town\/\"> St Andrews<\/a>&#8230; yes the place of the golf course&#8230;so I can say I saw the <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>St Andrews<\/strong> golf <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>course<\/strong> and a <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>lot<\/strong> more..<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 5px;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ishmaels.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/IMG_0535.jpg?resize=633%2C475\" alt=\"\" width=\"633\" height=\"475\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We were told it was where they tee off&#8230; not actually at the clubhouse..<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 5px;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ishmaels.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/IMG_0555.jpg?resize=640%2C480\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The club house is way down there in the center&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>But <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>St Andrews<\/strong> is a <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>lot<\/strong> more than the golf course&#8230; it has an old Castle.. <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>ABC<\/strong> #? and it has a huge huge church ground from the old original church..<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 5px;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ishmaels.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/IMG_0739.jpg?resize=640%2C480\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The castle&#8230; or what is left.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 5px;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ishmaels.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/IMG_0793.jpg?resize=640%2C480\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The front of the old church&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 5px;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ishmaels.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/IMG_0790.jpg?resize=640%2C528\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"528\" \/><\/p>\n<p>That is what it used to look like&#8230; I was actually off to the lefgt and back a ways with that <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>picture<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 5px;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ishmaels.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/IMG_0787.jpg?resize=640%2C480\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 5px;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ishmaels.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/IMG_0786.jpg?resize=640%2C480\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 5px;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ishmaels.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/IMG_0778.jpg?resize=640%2C480\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 5px;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ishmaels.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/IMG_0772.jpg?resize=640%2C480\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 5px;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ishmaels.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/IMG_0760.jpg?resize=480%2C640\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The church also had a huge grave <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>yard<\/strong> all the way around and the structue in the back was the entrane to the East Grave yard&#8230; we are actually getting into the church area here&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 5px;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ishmaels.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/IMG_0754.jpg?resize=640%2C480\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Lot of grave tombs&#8230; but first I have seen with a proposed date this old&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 5px;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ishmaels.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/IMG_0754-001.jpg?resize=482%2C334\" alt=\"\" width=\"482\" height=\"334\" \/><\/p>\n<p>1440?<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 5px;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ishmaels.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/IMG_0797.jpg?resize=640%2C474\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"474\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Supposedly the front door?
