I got a real slow start today\u2026 work lag, like jet lag but comes after several days of Man U al labor\u2026 I packed it up and went in for breakfast today\u2026 probably shouldn\u2019t but hey, I had cereal for supper last night.  Got back and did a little shop maintenance and then some radio<\/strong> play time\u2026 not much happening but I had the new tuner to do some testing with\u2026 something I like , some things I am not sure about\u2026 I doesn\u2019t tune my antennas well on 6 meters and will not save the tune to memory?  It is supposed to save the tune when ever it gets one<\/strong> for that frequency<\/strong> but it says it can\u2019t find the frequency? thought that link to the radio<\/strong> was supposed to tell it that? oh well, more testing is needed. <\/p>\n

Stupid me, I got ready, put the dog in the crate, headed to town and got to my wifes work place\u2026 but she had told me early that she had a lunch meeting and I was on my own for lunch\u2026 took me about 15 minutes there to figure that out and remember that I was on my own?  oh well, old timers, is sometimers, and a lot of short timers\u2026   So on my own I went to Wendy\u2019s\u2026 cause I have coupons for there\u2026 still not seeing that my coupon saved me very much\u2026 price for the chicken sandwich meal is 6.99 with tax would be 7.???  and my total with the free sandwich coupon was \u2026 5.64\u2026 I guess that is about $2 but at the time<\/strong> I wondered if I was saving anything\u2026 <\/p>\n

I got back home and pulled the mower out\u2026 figured I better get the grass mowed at least once this month\u2026 and some spots needed it but most haven\u2019t grown at all\u2026 I got the whole yard mowed and did some trimming around the house<\/strong> and shop and got the mower put back up by 4:00 and then it was back out in the shop\u2026 I still have a big mess in there and I need to find some old coke cans<\/strong> to repair my grandsons airplane\u2026 I may have to improvise some similar coke cans<\/strong> as I can\u2019t find any that are really close\u2026 <\/p>\n

I fixed the evening meal of \u201cloaded baked potatoes\u201d\u2026 pulled out some bakers\u2026 nuked them\u2026 and then, from the freezer, pulled out some pulled pork from grilling a couple months ago.  I have started putting our grilled stuff in vacuum freezer bags and in the amounts that serve about one<\/strong> meal plus\u2026 and I usually go ahead and grill enough for several meals\u2026 Anyway the loaded backed were pretty good\u2026 After dinner back to the shop\u2026 seems like that is all I am doing these days but there is a lot to do out there\u2026 so what happened this evening??? <\/p>\n

Ok, we all know that cats and dogs do not get along\u2026 well they are not supposed to but, we have a pair that tolerate each other and at times act as if they could play with each other but then the cat must think about it and stops and reminds the dog to show some respect\u2026 <\/p>\n

In the past I had let the cat out\u2026 when ever the dog wanted out I would ask here \u201cwhere is that stupid cat\u201d \u2026 several times she has charged out the door<\/strong> in search<\/strong> and has actually run over the cat several times when she found her\u2026 She has also gone out and stood on the landing (the one from yesterday<\/a>) and looked down as the cat tends to hide under that place\u2026 maybe she will still hide there but I have shut out the back door<\/strong> now\u2026 anyway she will go in search<\/strong> and tries to get the cat to play\u2026 you know the dog thing<\/strong> of  \u201csniff my but\u201d happens too and the cat give the dog that look of \u201cyou must be kidding\u201d \u2026 <\/p>\n

Tonight they were both out roaming a bit around the shop as I was on the radio, again\u2026 trying my best to work some 6 meters\u2026 I did get a very small opening and worked Mississippi but it fell out before we could change modes as he wanted to work JT9 as well as JT65\u2026 anyway to the cat and dog\u2026 I am working on the radio<\/strong> and there is a flash of black and then white through the shop( I had both doors open to get a good breeze going\u2026 At first I though the dog just was sending the cat on out of the shop as she thinks it is her domain and has to come out when I am out here\u2026 Anyway,  and I am pretty sure they circled the house<\/strong> as I wheeled back to see and they were still charging hard around the front corner of the house\u2026 when I saw that I decided they were headed to the front porch but in about 2 or 3 minutes here they come again\u2026 same direction and same speed\u2026 this time<\/strong> I think the cat stopped and gave the dog that \u201cok fun time<\/strong> is over\u201d swat\u2026  Next thing<\/strong> I know is I step to the back door<\/strong> and both of them are at the deck door<\/strong> wanting in\u2026 the dog was thirsty and the cat was hot\u2026 I went, let them in and the dog lapped up on the water and cat did a sprawl on the kitchen tile floor\u2026 <\/p>\n

Never a dull moment here\u2026 sorry no camera on this one, I was busy at the time\u2026  <\/p>\n
