That is what I did today\u2026 I got out and did my walk\u2026 was already damn windy when I got out there but faced it and backed it anyway\u2026 On the walk saw this huge \u201cpuffball\u201d <\/p>\n

Not sure what is in the dark? must have been the strap or ? something? it was windy..<\/p>\n

I also saw a blue bird exit from this\u2026<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t\u2019 think it is a save place<\/strong> for a next but she did and it had a next in there?  didn\u2019t both to see if the little ones were still there or not? <\/p>\n

I had breakfast\u2026 not a great one<\/strong> but filling, hard boiled egg, some cheese<\/strong> and toast\u2026 Need to remember to get some more juice?  <\/p>\n

AFter that I started to get around for a dragline day\u2026 figured I should go ahead while the ground is not backed to a hard pack to do the other part of my little project<\/strong> for under the stairs and landing\u2026 I got that started and moved some of the dirt to be saved to refill that hole.  The it was off for lunch\u2026 We are an exciting couple\u2026 anniversary day<\/strong> and we went to Whataburger for lunch\u2026 We should have gone out to a nice place<\/strong> or more \u201cupscale\u201d yesterday but that didn\u2019t happen either? Anyway I got back after lunch<\/strong> and got back on my \u201cDragline\u201d project\u2026 (shovel)\u2026 in the process I noticed this\u2026<\/p>\n

Guess the snake away didn\u2019t keep this one<\/strong> away far enough?  Will have to have them circle the shop as well as the house\u2026 this was over by the shop \u2026 while I was noticing this I rememberd that the dirt was settling away from the west foundation of the shop and that was a perfect place<\/strong> for these guys to hide\u2026 so I turned on the water and figured to fill up those cracks a bit<\/strong> with some of the dirt I was digging\u2026 like 2 projects for the work of one?  well not really turned out to be double work\u2026<\/p>\n

So this was the trench I dug out\u2026 it is deeper than it looks in the picture\u2026 lot<\/strong> of single handle work and in an awkard spot too? <\/p>\n

\"SAM_0790\"<\/a><\/p>\n

This was where a lot<\/strong> of the excess went\u2026 and the water running\u2026 I used the old irrigation line technique of mudding in\u2026 hope it works to some degree and I did a lot<\/strong> of excess digging and stiring to get it all to good mud to fill in the cracks as much as possible\u2026 it was a much bigger crack than it had looked at the start\u2026 and I had to shovel<\/strong> off the edge so I could work some mud up under the apron on the foundationn\u2026 <\/p>\n

That crack ran the full length and was maybe 18 inches deep in most spots as well as 8 to 10 inches wide\u2026 but I got it filled and mudded in to the end\u2026 let that settle and then maybe have to get some lighter silt\/sand to refil a bit<\/strong> more\u2026<\/p>\n

At about 4:30 I put the tools up and sat down at the radio with the door open and spotted this \u201cvarmint\u201d on the oak tree outside\u2026 sure glad we don\u2019t have trees up close to the house anymore of they would be making looking for ways to get in like they did in Duncan\u2026 <\/p>\n

The bands were not open for me, but I could see that others were spotting a bit<\/strong> of activity?  strange how it moved around and maybe I missed the best shot I had by having that sandwich? or ? working?  oh well another day<\/strong> to capture more of the contacts\u2026 I did get some confirmation in from the weekend for my 6 and 10 meter work\u2026 I may have to put up the vertical I have and give it a test?  Didn\u2019t figure<\/strong> it would be much more than a good portable for travel days but I may have to try it out and see if it works better than my wires? <\/p>\n

Again , thinking about it being our 41st anniversary\u2026 what did we do  for dinner? (and I offered to go or get anything)\u2026 I had a ham and cheese<\/strong> sandwich and she had a peanut butter sandwich\u2026 again\u2026 we just were not all that hungry and couldn\u2019t come up with anything that sounded good\u2026 <\/p>\n

That was the day.. now I am sore and tired and figure<\/strong> I will work on somethng else tomorrow?  probably an oil change and paying bills? <\/p>\n
