I signed up for that list a long time<\/strong> ago. \u00a0Have my phone number<\/strong> in there and have updated it to make sure it is there but that hasn’t stopped the calling. \u00a0We still get from 2 to 5 calls a day wanting to sell us something<\/strong> that we had not signed up for. \u00a0Some are funny , some I “give them what for” and others, depending on how I feel, I just ignore. \u00a0I did go in and set<\/strong> our phone to not take calles from hidden numbers so that blocked some we never see? \u00a0Some I answer and push some of their \u00a0buttons. \u00a0Some of my examples: We get calls that our computers are infected and they need<\/strong> to access them to fix it… when we got the first one, and he gave his “come on’ I told him we only had Apples here and we didn’t use Microsoft, after he said our Microsoft system<\/strong> needed fixing… Next time<\/strong> they called I had seen the area code come up and he said he was from Microsoft and I asked him how that was when his number<\/strong> came from Virginia? \u00a0An other attempt, the guy was a bit smarter this time<\/strong> and said they were call<\/strong> about any operating system<\/strong> and could fix it, I told him I didn’t have a computer, but he if knew it was me then he should come to my house… Some of the other scams… they have something<\/strong> big for me but need<\/strong> for me to set<\/strong> up a Western Union payment of $50 or so to get it… I told him if it was that big\u00a0I would give him a $1000 to deliver to my door… hung up… I even got a call<\/strong> today from the ATT<\/strong> service center, asking if we had a bundle deal on our phone… I told that lady that we had ATT<\/strong> for years but gave up when they could not fix our phone or internet problem and were very happy with our cable phone now… she just said thank you and quit… I do turn<\/strong> in nearly all the recorded calls for some crap that want me to please press 0 or 1 or some BS but never press the number<\/strong> just hang up… If I get their number<\/strong> I go to DONOTCALL.GOV and turn<\/strong> it in but so far I am not sure that is doing any good… \u00a0 WD0AJG<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
