Yesterday was just another of those days\u2026 started slow and stayed that way\u2026 mostly.  We got up and made a trip in town for breakfast at Braums.  I had not had the biscuits and gravy in some time<\/strong> and figured it was time<\/strong> for a treat.  Sure was good, the biscuit this time<\/strong> was soft and no oven burns or hard sides\u2026 they tend to do that at times? When that was over we made a run to the OSU Horticulture plant sale<\/a>.  They tend to put out some really nice plants but this year we didn\u2019t see anything that really caught our eye and from the weather reports we are holding off one<\/strong> more week before we start putting out bedding plants and hanging pots due to the prediction of freezing Monday.   I just don\u2019t want to put it out and then immediately have to cover it up to keep it from freezing.  We also made it to the Local Farmers Market and picked up some fresh Asparagus\u2026 got some purple for late lunch\/Dinner\u2026. I guess it is called Linner?We also stopped by a local plant vendor and spotted some that we may need<\/strong> to back track on for next week? <\/p>\n

And the one<\/strong> I really intended to get a picture of had Black Petunias in it but that picture turned out all fuzzy\u2026 may go back when I have a bit of time<\/strong> to get a decent focus of that.  We also made a run to Atwoods to pick up some Freon (they had it 35% off) for the motorhome air conditioner\u2026 it still leaks out Freon over time<\/strong> so I am going<\/strong> to just keep putting more in until we use it a lot more and then maybe try to get it fixed again.  <\/p>\n

When we got back home<\/strong> I put some chicken<\/strong> breasts in a marinade of Chipotle spices I found at the grocery\u2026 with some olive oil, water, and pulled a vacuum on it for about 3 hours before putting it on the grill.  Man oh man did they come out good\u2026 sorry no pictures\u2026 I keep forgetting to get pictures of stuff\u2026 I know I am getting forgetful but when it is time<\/strong> to eat, or fix it, I just don\u2019t think about pictures\u2026 I was told it is the best yet as far as chicken<\/strong> cooking on the Treager grill.  We did put the left over breasts into a vacuum bag and froze them for a dinner \u201cyet to be determined\u201d TBD\u2026. The rest of the day<\/strong> was spent doing little things in the shop, cleaning up, blowing up brand new bulbs in the bug zapper and ordering a new zapper\u2026 and stupid stuff like that.  I did take the handle off the Treager as one<\/strong> of the screws in it had broken off.  <\/p>\n

Today we got around early enough to make it to church\u2026 second time<\/strong> in a row for us\u2026I also wore my new watch<\/a>\u2026 it will have to be a special time<\/strong> watch as I am not sure I can wear this much orange all the time??? <\/p>\n

it was a nice service (we go to the 10:00 AM Modern service) which is more casual and open and we tend to like it a bit more.  Right after that Sherrie went to give blood.  Being a rare blood type they are always happy to get some of hers\u2026 Me I held off this time<\/strong> as I need<\/strong> to get past one<\/strong> year of having been to some of those places and besides I have plain old blood that is not rare\u2026 <\/p>\n

After church and the blood donation we went out to eat lunch<\/strong> and suffice it will be dinner either today or another day<\/strong> as well\u2026 <\/p>\n

Sherrie got the stuffed baked potato\u2026.<\/p>\n

I went for the \u201cDirty Deed\u201d special\u2026 and ended up bringing about half of the meat home<\/strong> and we shared the corn\u2026 <\/p>\n

Not too bad, although I think I need<\/strong> to work on my grilling to get better at the ribs and brisket?  Our main problem is we need<\/strong> to eat what we have so grilling is going<\/strong> to be limited for awhile\u2026 we still have a big package of pulled pork, \u201cfell of the bone\u201d rib meat and the chicken<\/strong> breast now\u2026 oh but I got some steaks that will get grilled this week sometime (small filets that are just right<\/strong> for us to make a meal or two out of\u2026 and thinking about it\u2026 I still have two of the ground sirloin patties that we vacuum froze as well\u2026 then I dug around in the freezer and found a bunch of different sausages that need<\/strong> to be cooked up before they get freezer burn\u2026 right?\u2026 <\/p>\n

After all that we got home<\/strong> and I read the paper while the storms were brewing up\u2026 it was just overcast early and then POOF it was coming on a big storm and prediction of 1inch hail and possible tornados and \u2026 oh yea, typical Oklahoma Spring weather\u2026 and just like typical Oklahoma weather\u2026 it passed over rained about 1\/2 inch left some pea size hail on us <\/p>\n

(we were lucky on that end) and by 5:30 the sun<\/strong> was shining brightly and drying things out \u2026 but the temps had dropped 20 degrees and the wind swapped from South to North in about 2 hours time<\/strong> \u2026<\/p>\n

Note all sun<\/strong> shine, no clouds but the sun<\/strong> catcher in the upper right<\/strong> is hanging off to the south\u2026. North wind about 20+ mph\u2026 and they expect it to keep going<\/strong> down into the low 30\u2019s tonight\u2026 <\/p>\n

All that caused me to swap out my shorts for jeans and sandals for socks\u2026 and I expect it to be jean weather for a day<\/strong> or so now\u2026 oh well I need<\/strong> to \u201cSand a Doo\u201d (Karate Kid?) Will start work on the other closet door in sanding tomorrow and maybe Tuesday then put a bit more stain and seal coats on it\u2026 to look closer to the other door I just finished. <\/p>\n
