Well, I missed all last<\/strong> week posting due to \u2026. a four letter word\u2026. WORK\u2026 it sucks to keep doing that\u2026 <\/p>\n

I had to make a trip to Duncan America to help out with an investigation.   Mostly it was for a reporting purpose as they had already done the investigation, found out what they wanted and had devised some actions to correct the problem but the completion of the full work up found a few missing items but took me a week to get it done. <\/p>\n

While in Duncan I got to visit with some old associates and catch  up on a few things as well as visit some of the old eating establishments\u2026 no need<\/strong> to write about the work stuff cause it was \u2026 WORK\u2026 duh!\u2026 The first night<\/strong> I was late getting finished up so the meal was nothing to talk about\u2026 fast food<\/strong> and quick to motel to warm up and get some sleep\u2026 the next night<\/strong> I met with an old associate and we made a run down to Meridian\u2026 to have Catfish at Bob\u2019s<\/a>.  It is not as good as Bills way on down by the river but hey\u2026 you don\u2019t have to drive an hour to get there either\u2026 it is pretty good in it\u2019s own right\u2026 We enjoyed our fish dinners and enjoyed more setting and talking for an hour or more\u2026 <\/p>\n

The next night<\/strong> I had dinner with another old associate and they took me to the Interurban<\/a>\u2026 it has taken over the old restaurant at the Elks Club in Duncan\u2026 The food<\/strong> was decent\u2026 really it was excellent for Duncan since they mostly have fast food<\/strong> places there now\u2026 <\/p>\n

I finished up my WORK<\/strong> Thursday with a meeting on some other issues and then headed north\u2026 I needed gas in Chickasha so stopped to get some and figured while there, why not visit an old favorite BarBQue place\u2026 My Dad has said he used to go to a Roy\u2019s in Chickasha<\/a> but I think it was a different place<\/strong> as this one has only been in business since the 70\u2019s and the one Dad went to was there in the late 40\u2019s\u2026 but in any case it is pretty decent BarBQue and an interesting old place\u2026 the menu is pretty short\u2026 if you don\u2019t want BarBQue or fresh home<\/strong> made pie\u2026 your out of luck\u2026 <\/em>I like there sauce better than most and the waffle fries are great as a go along to the simple Bar B que\u2026 <\/p>\n

on the right leaned up to the wall is Roy his self\u2026  and the lady in black is a waitress that has been there , I think since before Roy started cooking!\u2026 ha!<\/p>\n

on the rack behind here are some of the greatest looking home<\/strong> made pies\u2026 but being a good fella I didn\u2019t have any\u2026 <\/p>\n

This place<\/strong> has a simple menu\u2026 no frills and not much to mess you  up when ordering\u2026<\/p>\n

it\u2019s in the middle of your placemat\u2026 <\/p>\n

I got home<\/strong> fine and Friday did a few WORK<\/strong> things but mostly tried to get some last<\/strong> minute things done\u2026 they dealer had not sent the paperwork for my tags yet and we are past the 30 days\u2026 had to make some calls to find out the 30 days starts when they get the paper work in to release the vehicle form a previous loan\u2026 ok\u2026 so I have a few more weeks to go\u2026 I also had some \u201cadd on parts\u201d that came in last<\/strong> week so I spent some time Saturday evening putting them on\u2026 <\/p>\n

Before the additions on the front\u2026 although this was when we were getting the tow plate and wiring put on so it will slip behind the motor home<\/strong> when we get a chance\u2026<\/p>\n

The front<\/strong> end fixes to limit the number of rocks and bugs that get into the radiator\u2026 and some black circles for the eyes\u2026 ha! also put in some \u201coh-sh_t\u201d handles on the roll bar , mostly so we can get in and out easier\u2026 or at least short people can\u2026 I also put a better ground on the antenna I put on a few weeks ago\u2026 since I was not satisfied with the mount ground\u2026 still might need<\/strong> to put some stiffing bracket on it as the antenna I use is a bit heavier than the bracket is built for?  maybe?<\/p>\n

We also were busy with attending sporting events\u2026 Wrestling on Friday night\u2026 good to see the wrestling team<\/strong> winning like they normally do\u2026 they have had a struggle this year in duals\u2026 but they have been facing up to stiffer competition than normal\u2026 then we went to the Men’s BB game<\/strong> and watch a horrible display of a game\u2026 I am not sure what is going on but they did not play anything like they did a month ago\u2026 too much quick shooting,  not enough running the offense and almost no rebounding\u2026 from my view\u2026 they deserved to loose and if they don\u2019t get it back on track\u2026 they are done for the year\u2026 even with some great individual players they are not playing as a team<\/strong> anymore\u2026 Beyond that we got home<\/strong> and watched the last<\/strong> part of the women’s game<\/strong> and they too gave it up\u2026 no response to the opponents ability to take them out of their game\u2026 although you have to get credit the other team<\/strong> had a couple of players step up when the stars were down and we didn\u2019t\u2026 so with two losses on Saturday it was a downer day\u2026 Today\u2026 even though I would like for Denver to win\u2026 I just can\u2019t see them knocking off the better defense\u2026 ?  so I am or didn\u2019t watch the game\u2026 will read the reports later and know all I need<\/strong> to\u2026 I spent most of my afternoon and evening playing Radio\u2026 made a lot of contacts on 15 meters so that was fun\u2026 also had a really good QSO with a friend in Ohio for well over an hour, on 40meter\u2026 condx were really good for that tonight and we didn\u2019t have anyone else in there to work against?  usually we have to move due to over-riding signals\u2026 but not tonight\u2026 so that is the catch up for the week\u2026 this coming week\u2026 several more things to do and some more of that 4 letter word\u2026 WORK\u2026 <\/p>\n

I may even have to get started on my taxes and that is not going to be fun so my attitude will be bad for the next couple of weeks I am sure\u2026 maybe even months\u2026 ha!\u2026 <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
