The last<\/strong> I wrote was just after we had gotten back into Colorado.\u00a0 It has been a whirlwind couple of weeks\u2026 we have been in Colorado twice in the past 3 weeks and several other things along the way\u2026<\/p>\n

Here are some pictures from our arrival that I didn\u2019t get in the last<\/strong> post\u2026<\/p>\n

The first thing<\/strong> we did was get gas in the Springs and then to Oriellys to get new wiper blades\u2026 that was a really good DAMN<\/strong> thing<\/strong> to do\u2026 as I will explain later..<\/p>\n

In these pictures the sky was all lite up and the pictures didn\u2019t show all that I saw but still a bit<\/strong> dramatic\u2026 in that part of the world it usually is a sign that things are about to change?\u00a0 Well they did but slowly\u2026 cause on Sunday it was warm with snow<\/strong> showers around and windy\u2026 then Monday it was cooler and DAMN<\/strong> windy\u2026 with all that we made it through the time<\/strong> there and Tuesday early we hopped in the car to leave\u2026 it was a bit<\/strong> cloudy , like the picture above but soon was to change\u2026 again we got gas and started east\u2026 as we got east of the springs we found there was a little bit<\/strong> of snow<\/strong> coming down but nothing big\u2026 then by the time<\/strong> we got 10 miles east it was snowing pretty good but we also had that strong north wind\u2026 and it kept getting thicker and worse and we were meeting snow-plows and sand trucks everywhere\u2026<\/p>\n

And it was looking like this\u2026 stayed that way and we didn\u2019t make any real time<\/strong> until we were almost to Burlington\u2026 our comment to each other was \u2026<\/p>\n

JUST LIKE OLD TIMES!\u2026 we had seen this more times that we needed in the Fowler area when we lived out there years ago\u2026 actually had to drive in a lot<\/strong> worse situations and had a few colder blizzards roll through back then\u2026 at least that is what we think\u2026 you know since the Global Warming things it can\u2019t be as cold and bad as it was in the 70\u2019s\u2026 ?<\/p>\n

We got to about Hays and stopped for lunch (didn\u2019t face up to Taco Johns in Colby again\u2026 couldn\u2019t stand another free meal or the long wait to get it)\u2026 The wind was blowing hard enough here that I had to hang on to things to stand up\u2026 At the Loves \/Subway we stopped at I got this shot\u2026<\/p>\n

They had a Big People and a Little<\/strong> People door into the play land\u2026\u00a0 I would assume that is fun for the kids\u2026?<\/p>\n

We got home just in time<\/strong> to unload and I grabbed my ticket and went to the girls BB game\u2026 they played well\u2026 a bit<\/strong> sloppy at points but won by big numbers\u2026 then home\u2026<\/p>\n

The next day<\/strong> \u2013 Wednesday was a work day<\/strong> for me but in the middle of all that I got to checking my credit card charges and posting them into my tracking software and found that someone, somewhere had picked up my card number and was charging a lot<\/strong> of stuff at Wal-Mart-online\u2026 had to call and claim a fraud alert and cancel that card.\u00a0 Sure puts a bad feeling in you to find several big spends on your card that you didn\u2019t get to enjoy\u2026 not sure where it happened but somewhere someone copied off my card numbers and felt they had a right to use it.\u00a0 Glad I caught it when I did before it ran way up on charges\u2026<\/p>\n

I also called to see where my agreed stuff was for the new Jeep that the dealer was to send me\u2026 still not here and ???? oh they hadn\u2019t sent it yet?\u00a0 hum\u2026 that warm fuzzy I had about them is slipping away if they can\u2019t get things done when they agree to and then tell stories about some other things?\u00a0 They said then it would be in the mail that day\u2026 I called again today and it went out yesterday and ??? Monday is a holiday so not sure it will be delivered on time<\/strong> to get it put on Tuesday as planned\u2026 another issue to deal with next week I guess\u2026 in the future I need to be like we did with government contracts\u2026 withhold 10% until everything meets and passes the final inspection\u2026<\/p>\n

On my soapbox\u2026 what happened to quality of work, doing what you promise and when you promise it, I guess<\/strong> no one feels they have to anymore\u2026?<\/p>\n

Today was another shock day\u2026 I got the car scheduled for an oil change\u2026\u00a0 took it in and said I wanted to find out why the headlight on the driver side kept going out but came back on when you turned them off and on\u2026 seems it is a known problem<\/a> with those type of headlights\u2026 I went through all our paperwork and found that is they had sent out a notice in a letter for extended warranty to 72000 miles but ours started just after that\u2026 oh well\u2026 will do some checking further and figure out how to handle it since the cost quoted to replace the two bulbs was $500\u2026 they have to remove the bumper, according to them?<\/p>\n

That ended the day<\/strong> and we enjoyed some of our interests the rest of Friday\u2026 I went to the radio shop and Sherrie worked on knitting\u2026<\/p>\n
