It was just another of those slow start days with not much else on the plate\u2026 in fact we didn\u2019t get out till near noon and that was to go out and eat\u2026After the carving shop we went to an old place<\/strong> in Colorado City \u2013 Mason Jar<\/a>\u2026 serves \u201ccomfort food\u201d.<\/p>\n

After that meal we drove up into Manitou and stopped at the Chainsaw carving shop\u2026 I got a bear<\/strong> for Christmas from here\u2026<\/p>\n

It is a bit bigger and heavier than the picture<\/strong> looks like\u2026 Mom says it will stay in the house\u2026 geez\u2026 along with the other animals\u2026<\/p>\n

Here are some of the other carved stuff\u2026 pretty neat place\u2026<\/p>\n

I had to sneak this picture<\/strong> in but the carved motorcycles on the top were cute??? and the signs\u2026 ha!<\/p>\n

Of course<\/strong> we bought a couple more signs<\/strong> for the bear<\/strong> to hold\u2026 like \u201cCowboy UP\u201d\u2026 and \u201cGo Pokes\u201d\u2026 so we can swap them out as necessary\u2026. After that we made it back to check<\/strong> out the \u201cindoor flea market and antique mall\u201d\u2026 boy was it full of stuff\u2026 and of course<\/strong> they had to buy some of that stuff\u2026 <\/p>\n

It is a series of small booths that has everything from antiques like these to <\/p>\n

Paintings like these.<\/p>\n

I thought this was neat\u2026<\/p>\n

The work bench has a tag that says it was from the 1800\u2019s\u2026 along with several old clamps and other stuff on it..<\/p>\n

A cabinet full of \u201cOLD\u201d cameras that my friend Carl would be wanting to touch\u2026<\/p>\n

Rawhide and horn chairs\u2026 there was a pair of them\u2026. <\/p>\n

\"dragon\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The one<\/strong> of a kind dragon chair<\/strong> that said it came from one<\/strong> of the Extreme Make-over shows?  sold marked on it and for $4000\u2026 ouch\u2026<\/p>\n

And this old school<\/strong> desk that caught my eye\u2026 I had one<\/strong> just like it that I think Mom got form the old Barr School house when they removed all the old stuff\u2026 I had it in my bedroom as a kid and Mom wanted us to use I to study but I used it to work on my model<\/strong> cars\u2026 I did a lot of old model<\/strong> car kits way back and this held my collection of parts and  stuff as well as other kid junk , not school<\/strong> related\u2026 ha!\u2026<\/p>\n

That was about it for the day\u2026 the ski bums came in late afternoon and we will all head off home or the kids here will have to go to work, in the morning\u2026 long drive tomorrow\u2026 it has been nice to get everyone together if only for a little while\u2026 <\/p>\n
