Well, I have been remiss in posting lately\u2026 not that I am lazy or anything\u2026 <\/p>\n

Last Saturday I made it to the local car<\/strong> show<\/strong> at Ron Shirley GMC\u2026 they have a little \u201cinvitation only\u201d show<\/strong> on the second Saturday of October every year.  Last year<\/strong> the weather sucked and not many came out\u2026 hell I would take my clean car<\/strong> out in the weather we had last year<\/strong> but that is how it works\u2026   I went with the idea that my cousin would be there\u2026 He was, but had only gotten there a little before me to show<\/strong> one<\/strong> of his cars\u2026 actually a new one<\/strong> he bought a few months ago\u2026 <\/p>\n

I think he just wanted to get it out and drive it cause he never got an entry number for it, but hey, he has too many trophies now and that is not his goal, he just likes to get out and see the other stuff and if your going, take one<\/strong> to put in the lineup\u2026 <\/p>\n

Anyway, I got around to all of the cars and found a few that I sure wouldn\u2019t mind setting in my garage and occasionally getting out for a spin\u2026 <\/p>\n

First on my list\u2026 <\/p>\n

Not that would a be a blast to make the drive-ins and have a great time\u2026 <\/p>\n

This would also be a blast to drive around in but I am afraid that I would be scared shit-less that someone would run<\/strong> into it\u2026 that thing<\/strong> is worth more than all mine put together \u2026 well maybe not if you add the motorhome but damn close\u2026 <\/p>\n

This one<\/strong> is pretty cool for the way they fixed it up\u2026 of course it is an OSU theme\u2026 even the interior\u2026 nice work too\u2026<\/p>\n

I used to have a 55 two door post\u2026 but mine never looked this good\u2026 it was yellow and true to the color was a LEMON\u2026 owned that POS<\/strong> for about 9 months\u2026<\/p>\n

The engine<\/strong> blew up\u2026 not from racing but had an oil line plug and put two rods through the block\u2026 had the brakes wore plumb out and I fixed that, the engine<\/strong> we got from the junk yard needed to be rebuilt but I didn\u2019t have the money for that so it had a lot of blow-by\u2026 I spent money on re-doing the interior\u2026 did a decent job but just about then the shift level came off when I went to put it in reverse one<\/strong> night\u2026 had to drive shifting with a long screw driver in the column\u2026 it had an old fashion over drive but couldn\u2019t ever get it to work\u2026 and it had some weird electrical problem that we never found\u2026 run<\/strong> great for a while then all of a sudden it would die\u2026 I tried everything to fix that but never found out why , but after a little cussing it would start again and off we went\u2026 anyway it ran out of gas one<\/strong> day, but it said it had half a tank?  the gauge had worked all the time<\/strong> I had owned it till then\u2026 but by accident after dragging it all over the pasture we put 5 more gallons in it and damn if it didn\u2019t start?  and that was when we sold it way too cheap\u2026 oh well\u2026 <\/p>\n

So the little local car<\/strong> show<\/strong> had a great day<\/strong> of weather and those were my favorites\u2026 although there were several others that came in real close to those\u2026 I sure envy those guys.   I guess I should of kept one<\/strong> of mine as I have had some really neat ones, looking back\u2026 <\/p>\n

One more thing\u2026 I don\u2019t have one<\/strong> like those and sometimes I figure this fits closer to the truth\u2026<\/p>\n
