The day<\/strong> was just like most other days out, at work.  horrible breakfast at the hotel\u2026 then deal with things that I don\u2019t really care about\u2026 mostly paperwork and tracking and processes and procedures and such\u2026 but we did get out for some quality down south eats\u2026 although I think I may be having beef withdrawal?  not sure yet so won\u2019t go splurge on a burger just yet\u2026 but we went out to ABear\u2019s for lunch<\/a>..  I didn\u2019t find a picture<\/strong> of the place<\/strong> and should of taken one\u2026 but that\u2019s ok\u2026 it is just and old house converted to a restaurant\u2026 and like the ads state\u2026 Family home cooking and they make<\/strong> you feel welcome\u2026 the wait staff are also some of the cooks\u2026 all of them are close to my age or older\u2026 and they don\u2019t waste time with the order<\/strong> and minor stuff\u2026 The special today\u2026 <\/p>\n

I probably should of stuck with the gumbo but went for the special and swapped out the sweet peas for red beans\u2026 <\/p>\n

It was pretty good\u2026 and then I topped that off with the Lemon Meringue Pie\u2026 sorry , ate it up before I remembered to grab the camera\u2026 it was just too good to wait for a picture\u2026 <\/p>\n

During the day<\/strong> we had to get out and walk the facility a little\u2026 I had seen it before and it looked a lot the same\u2026 maybe a little cleaner but I did capture this guy resting\u2026<\/p>\n

or gal maybe???? a Pink Dragonfly\u2026 probably was a lady\u2026?<\/p>\n

On the way back to work I captured this sign\u2026 I knew about Fast Eddie\u2026 had heard all about several Fast Eddies but this one? <\/p>\n

And he even has a drop box for props\u2026 ?<\/p>\n

I did a little research to find something new as we had hit most of the listed restaurants in Houma in previous trips and I found one<\/strong> that had a really high rating??? a place<\/strong> called Bayou Delight<\/a><\/p>\n

.Now this place<\/strong> has a really high rating on most of the searches so we figured to try it\u2026 it was just about 7 miles out of town for us so no big problem\u2026 we got there and the place<\/strong> was nearly empty\u2026? not a good sign<\/strong> of quality but hey it is late?  We get in and they are really friendly as they were at Abears so we ordered up the Shrimp platter\u2026 well actually I browsed the menu and if you don\u2019t like \u201cfried\u201d food or gumbo you may be out of luck here but the meal was good, just that I have had shrimp<\/strong> for most of my meals the past 2 days and I am not sure but think it is messing with my insides a little\u2026 I have had way more gastro-intestinal disturbances , if you get the drift\u2026 anyway we had another good meal\u2026<\/p>\n

of course<\/strong> you start with the salad\u2026 <\/p>\n

\"SAM_0348\"<\/a><\/p>\n

then the main course<\/strong> of \u2026. fried shrimp<\/strong> and boudin balls and a stuffed baked\u2026 <\/p>\n

while there I spotted my new slogan\u2026 <\/p>\n

I also made a trip to the \u201cmen’s room\u201d and it was appropriately paneled with \u2026<\/p>\n

Sportsman\u2019s panel\u2026 it wasn\u2019t wall paper or stick on it actually was in the paneling\u2026 I had never seen stuff like this\u2026 so , of course<\/strong> I got a picture\u2026 <\/p>\n

With that we ended the day, came back to the motel and I am on my way to slumber\u2026 <\/p>\n
