Well, I am again down here in the swamps\u2026 came down yesterday\u2026 no big thrill other than had hoped to catch a early standby out of OKC but not happening\u2026 my airline had to cancel on flight out due to a \u201cbird hit\u201d \u2026 guess one<\/strong> of the big planes caught a bird in the engine so it was parked out on the edge and the hundred or so passengers that were to have gone out earlier in the day<\/strong> were getting out in small groups on \u201cstandby\u201d for all the remaining flights\u2026 just glad I wasn\u2019t one<\/strong> of them\u2026<\/p>\n

Today was just another work day.  Although it involved a meeting in one<\/strong> place<\/strong> and a move about 90 miles down the road\u2026 figure<\/strong> that one<\/strong> out\u2026 <\/p>\n

Last night when I got in I got a pictures of some of the amazing things you see \u2026 I had seen it many times before but this time<\/strong> it struck me, how often do you see a dozen gumball machines all together\u2026 and a change machine in the middle\u2026? <\/p>\n

\"2013-09-08<\/a><\/p>\n

Even though they may look a little similar each is very different types of gumballs or jawbreakers\u2026 <\/p>\n

Today the move from one<\/strong> office<\/strong> to another was a 2 hour drive and part of it is through the swamps\u2026<\/p>\n

It is hard to tell but a large portion of this road<\/strong> is actually a series of bridges going over the swamps down here\u2026 <\/p>\n

and the road<\/strong> is ok but somewhat ruff due to the constant humps in the road\u2026 just glad we don\u2019t see one<\/strong> of these in the road\u2026<\/p>\n

\"SAM_0334\"<\/a><\/p>\n

yep, snapping turtle and it must of weighed 50 lbs. or more\u2026 big enough to take you arm clean off\u2026 It sets on one<\/strong> of the office<\/strong> down here and the owner said they got it maybe 3 or 4 months ago.. <\/p>\n

Just shows that there are a lot of big things down in them swamps and most of them you don\u2019t really want to meet up with unprepared\u2026 <\/p>\n

After the long day<\/strong> we had dinner at a little place<\/strong> called the \u201cFrench Loaf\u201d \u2026 it has been open on the same corner since way before 1994 (first time<\/strong> I was taken there to eat lunch)\u2026 and they serve up some good food and plenty of quantity\u2026<\/p>\n

Sorry, couldn\u2019t wait to get my picture till I tasted it\u2026 shrimp<\/strong> Po-boy\u2026 the smallest one<\/strong> they put out\u2026 called a 1\/4\u2026 and it was loaded with fresh shrimp<\/strong> and not the little bitty popcorn ones either\u2026<\/p>\n

\"2013-10-07<\/a><\/p>\n

so we eat good\u2026 and now\u2026 I am in need of sleep\u2026 big meals seem to do that to me\u2026 <\/p>\n

I have two more days here and then back up that same swamp road<\/strong> and 2 more days on that end\u2026 such fun we have \u2026 <\/p>\n
