First off\u2026 yesterday I got some long awaited jobs done\u2026 then in my forgetful mind I crashed\u2026 \u201cand that is all I have to say about that\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In one<\/strong> of my trips to town yesterday I spotted this and still wonder what was going<\/strong> on?<\/p>\n

Today we planned a road trip.  Had to pick up a repaired chime clock<\/strong> and thought I might get some more wood<\/strong> chips for the grill\u2026 So we were off early on our small adventure.  <\/p>\n

The wood<\/strong> chips would be first but unfortunately that place<\/strong> is not open on Saturday?  Guess I should of checked that out\u2026 anyway it was in Perry and we were headed to Blackwell so we opted to take the old highway 77 north from there.  I am sure i  had been that way but didn\u2019t remember it.  not a lot of things to see on the road but did find a few things both up and back.  In Perry I spotted this old advertisement\u2026 thought it was interesting\u2026<\/p>\n

An old Sinclair station<\/strong> on the corner<\/strong> that no longer is a station<\/strong> but they have kept up the signs and paint\u2026 I think the cans of oil used to say this on them as well? <\/p>\n

A house with a \u201cmauve\u201d roof?  that is unusual and it had a odd stained glass in the corner<\/strong> as did the house next door? <\/p>\n

Interesting wall painting\u2026<\/p>\n

\"1-IMG_6265\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Need a refrigerator\u2026 maybe 80 years old?<\/p>\n

They have painted this up real nice\u2026 and put the Sant\u00e9 Fe back on but faintly on the side it had the ATSF at one<\/strong> time\u2026 one<\/strong> in the same railroad but joined? <\/p>\n

The old station<\/strong> looks to be in real good condition as well\u2026 interesting to see these in old towns\u2026 some saved, some lost and some waiting for?<\/p>\n

I thought the dead tree was interesting\u2026 not sure it is new life or something else taking over?<\/p>\n

We went on to Blackwell and weren\u2019t able to pick up the clock\u2026 in the past day or so it had stripped another old gear after the repairman got it working\u2026 the old gear was not metal and he is going<\/strong> to search his stock of old stuff to see if they had one<\/strong> to replace that gear out\u2026 <\/p>\n

We had lunch with family there and then it was back toward home\u2026 On that way home<\/strong> we looked for the old town of 3-Sands\u2026 big oil boom town from 100 years ago\u2026 there used to be a sign out there but we didn\u2019t find any sign\u2026 from the description we surmised that it was in the vicinity of the old building below\u2026?<\/p>\n

It may take a bit<\/strong> more research to be sure of that but it appears to be some part of the in-between oil boom of that area\u2026 ? <\/p>\n

We made a switch through Red Rock\u2026? didn’t take any pictures as there is nothing<\/strong> much but the high school to get pictures of?  or the water tower\u2026 I had thought there might have been some more of a town there but it was pretty sparse and generally run down houses or some few newer supplied places but nothing<\/strong> worthy of pictures. <\/p>\n

We came on home\u2026 flopped a bit\u2026 had a sandwich for dinner and then went to get another half price shake at Sonic\u2026 nice way to top off the evening\u2026 <\/p>\n
