When we got up this morning<\/strong> it was raining.  It had been raining nearly all night (at least since midnight) and the \u201cflash flood\u201d alert had gone off for the southern end of the county.  It was nice and cool and the rain<\/strong> was just coming straight down\u2026 A real oddity for Oklahoma.  It would rain<\/strong> at about 1\/2 inch per hour or more for awhile then let up and almost stop then start again\u2026 Since there was not much else to do we took off to town for a late breakfast.  Ended up at the Spudnut shop for Jalapeno Sausage rolls\u2026 pretty tasty. <\/p>\n

Once back it was a pretty lazy day\u2026 did a little work off and on but not enough and a lot<\/strong> of setting on the back deck watching.  One problem is I found a leak. My first thought was a roof<\/strong> leak as it was dripping from the outer beam along the top of the deck\u2026 I called the roofer to get them set<\/strong> to come out and check it.  After looking closer it was for sure just dripping from the outer area and not the inner of that beam so it could possibly be that the rain<\/strong> gutter or leaf grate or something was allowing water to run back under the shingle at the edge and it was coming out that way?  At that point I called the rain<\/strong> gutter people<\/strong> and have them set<\/strong> to come do a review and then set<\/strong> up a complete clean out and adjustment to make sure the guttering is not causing any water to get back under the roof.  I have had several areas that seem to drip a lot<\/strong> on the inside between the gutter and the fascia so best to get it all checked and put back to right. <\/p>\n

During the morning<\/strong> I did get a few back yard picks of the \u201cwildlife\u201d and I missed the most important one\u2026 While setting on the deck early I noticed a humming bird come into the feeder but it was different.  Looked closer and it was \u201corange\u201d\u2026 before I could get the camera up it took off to a tree.  I tried to get it focused but never got on him before he just took off\u2026 I went in and found him in the bird book\u2026 <\/p>\n

Since \u201cI MISSED IT\u201d I had to take this from the web\u2026 in the bird book it shows they only range in and through the west and probably not past the front range? but I am sure of what I saw, even though I was too slow to get a real picture.  <\/p>\n

Along with that I captured the squirrel eating my blackberries\u2026<\/p>\n

Maybe I better go pick some before he gets more than his share? <\/p>\n

in between showers the birds<\/strong> would hit<\/strong> the grass area west of the house as I had just mowed it and it was prime for bugs now.  I was actually out there waiting on the Rufous to come back\u2026 didn\u2019t happen.<\/p>\n

The rest of the day<\/strong> was pretty lazy\u2026 with it raining till middle of the afternoon\u2026 Big excitement was leftovers for lunch and then a wild hair to get a hot sandwich from Dominos and go to the park at Boomer Lake\u2026 nice evening for it\u2026 and great temps\u2026 so we got some tea and picked up the sandwich and went to the lake\u2026 <\/p>\n

The bench is lonely , waiting for people<\/strong> to come back out\u2026 it was clear and dry now and great temps\u2026 There were a lot<\/strong> of people<\/strong> out getting exercise though.  Suspect some were morning<\/strong> walkers that missed due to the rain<\/strong> and were getting the walk in for the evening?  <\/p>\n

They came out to the point but never sat down\u2026 <\/p>\n

The fishing was real good but the catching appeared to be pretty slow\u2026<\/p>\n

The old rock wall made for a decent back drop to the picture\u2026 It is need of repair I am afraid. <\/p>\n

On the way home we cruised main street and then hit<\/strong> the Sonic for a Root beer float\u2026It sure was good\u2026 ended up the evening back out on the deck but was too late for the birds\u2026 getting real dark and all I could make out was the bat zooming by and the lightening bugs going off everywhere\u2026 Not a picture<\/strong> op in that although I may have to try some evening? <\/p>\n

Just an all around great day<\/strong> of nothing exciting for a change\u2026 <\/p>\n
