Since it was a Sunday we took the day<\/strong> to start late, make<\/strong> a short tour of downtown\u2026 and check on some shopping.  The shopping<\/strong> was ok for me but a failure for our friend from Columbia\u2026 he wanted a Serape for his father<\/a>\u2026 this is an example of what he was looking for.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately this area of Mexico is not generally familiar with this type and we had no luck in finding one\u2026 they are more common in the north and west ranch areas\u2026 <\/p>\n

We did find many other things\u2026 <\/p>\n

The Central Cathedral\u2026 massive place!  no we didn\u2019t stop and it was Sunday morning so I am sure they were ready or having Mass? <\/p>\n

This really unusually painted water tower?  the small things are birds painted in\u2026 there were several of these around and many more not painted\u2026<\/p>\n

also they were a different shape like flying saucer\u2026<\/p>\n

A few more statues in the center of the roads\u2026<\/p>\n

A lot, as you can see, had water features\u2026 <\/p>\n

people in the middle<\/strong> of intersections trying to make<\/strong> a \u201cpeso\u201d by doing things you don\u2019t see all the time\u2026 and some selling papers, food, and washing windows\u2026 <\/p>\n

places to eat\u2026 (my opinion of raw food<\/strong> or rather what it will lead to)\u2026.<\/p>\n

And several Damn big Malls\u2026 <\/p>\n

of course<\/strong> we had to go to one\u2026 not my choice.  One of the guys saw a sign for Fuddruckers burgers and just had to go there\u2026 when we could have had a variety of local stuff downtown\u2026 I was up for the Quesadilla bar or maybe a taco stand but they were intent on \u201cMuy Grande\u201d Burgers\u2026 Anyway we got to this Mall that had the Fuddruckers and had to cross back to the food<\/strong> area\u2026 <\/p>\n

These animals are bounce and go things\u2026 the kids bounce up and down and they roll across the floor\u2026 of course<\/strong> they are rental units\u2026 <\/p>\n

and a kid train runs through the mall\u2026!<\/p>\n

After gorging on the burger\u2026 I had the smaller one<\/strong> they make<\/strong> and was still stuffed\u2026 we headed back to the hotel\u2026 I found that there is a supermarket on the other side<\/strong> of the park I had been in and wrote about yesterday so I made a trip that way\u2026 figured a walk would do me good\u2026 when I got there, maybe 6 or 8 blocks from the hotel\u2026 I find there is a \u201cGalleria\u201d  mall on the other side\u2026 so I slipped in there before I went into the supermarket\u2026 this Galleria actually crosses over the road\u2026<\/p>\n

Taken from the food<\/strong> court windows in the middle<\/strong> of the mall over the road\u2026. way off in the distant you can see the very small spires of the Cathedral we were by earlier\u2026 in the very middle<\/strong> of the picture\u2026 hey, between the big buildings\u2026 !<\/p>\n

Ok, if I zoom in you can see what they are\u2026<\/p>\n

I also took several pictures of flowers in the park on the way but I have shown some of similar ones before but this was from a tree\u2026 <\/p>\n

I actually walked for about 2 hours\u2026 stopped for a brief bit to get pictures and shop at a local artisan shop and picked up some FUZE tea for later\u2026 then back to the hotel\u2026<\/p>\n

At 6pm we went out to eat dinner\u2026 guess where they wanted to go\u2026 Chili\u2019s\u2026 I had a salad this time\u2026 Caribbean chicken salad\u2026 with a margarita\u2026 !<\/p>\n

And that ends the \u201cfree\u201d day<\/strong> we had\u2026 tomorrow back to working on the reports\u2026 checking our details and ? and yes it was another very hot day\u2026 mostly very humid\u2026 <\/p>\n
