Well I have been home for a week or so and trying my best to get some yard<\/strong> work caught up\u2026 you know, mowing and trimming and other stuff\u2026 While mowing I bumped the sparrow trap that I had not but \u201cbait\u201d in or done anything with since early spring so I figured I better get it set to capture the new hatch of sparrows<\/strong> in the area\u2026 The new ones are generally pretty stupid about such things and easily caught.  Well  put some seed in and set it up for a capture Friday evening, then forgot about it.  Yesterday evening I figured I better check it out and reload some \u201cbait\u201d\u2026 surprise, surprise, surprise\u2026 I had caught some birds<\/strong> but then a snake had caught them, eat them, and then got caught in the trap\u2026 <\/p>\n

hard to tell but it appeared to be about 4 or 5 ft. long\u2026 not too big around, it had swallowed the two sparrows<\/strong> on the right then passed them out when it got it\u2019s head caught in the trap door that it must have come in?  It\u2019s jaws were still out of place when it attempted to get out through the mesh and now it was hung up.  <\/p>\n

Sorry but this snake didn\u2019t survive the extraction process\u2026 <\/p>\n

oh well, two sparrows<\/strong> eliminated anyway\u2026<\/p>\n

The other night was supposed to be a big moon special\u2026 It was here\u2026<\/p>\n

Pretty damn big don\u2019t you think?  <\/p>\n

Actually had a little zoom on that one<\/strong> and this was how it looked normal..<\/p>\n

Since it was World Team Trials for wrestling, and we had tickets, we went to the evening sessions.  interesting as it is different than NCAA wrestling, and moves a lot<\/strong> faster\u2026 we did ok\u2026 got one<\/strong> on the Senior men\u2019s team<\/strong> and two on the Junior men\u2019s Free Style for 2013\u2026 A couple of the ones we figured to make the team<\/strong> didn\u2019t due to injury or ? Still not too bad\u2026 in the process<\/strong> we came across a movie star watching the trials\u2026 I guess<\/strong> he was a wrestler in high school and did two years in college according to his bio\u2026 he is supporting the \u201csave Olympic wrestling\u201d<\/a>  and was doing some interviews\u2026 <\/p>\n

Beyond all that activity I have just been working on the yard\u2026 Got a new edger today and worked it out\u2026 rather it worked me out\u2026 I have a lot<\/strong> of concrete edge!<\/p>\n

I have also noticed some late bloomers here\u2026 I thought most of the birds<\/strong> had finished up the nesting but guess<\/strong> not\u2026 <\/p>\n

look close it is a mocking bird guarding the nest\u2026 and <\/p>\n

4 rather large mouths to feed\u2026 <\/p>\n

I was also playing with the zoom when I spotted the birds<\/strong> and caught this butterfly\u2026 they sure like the white flowers we have\u2026<\/p>\n
