Took another little day trip\u2026 up to check<\/strong> the camping at the upper end of Kaw lake (don\u2019t remember ever doing that) and then to go through Newkirk, Ark City Kansas and check<\/strong> out the First Council Casino\u2026 I had it in mind to see if it was something special as they are having some name artists there and night before last<\/strong> was BBKing\u2026 we didn\u2019t go but probably should have\u2026 Anyway\u2026 the Casino is not anything<\/strong> spectacular\u2026 compared to the one<\/strong> on the south end of Oklahoma (Thackerville).. or even the one<\/strong> in Norman or elsewhere for that matter?  It was busy and there are 3 right<\/strong> next to each other\u2026 ? not sure I understand all that but seems to be different tribes. Anyway on the back roads you can see some old and ? stuff\u2026<\/p>\n

Not sure which sign is really right<\/strong> but the one<\/strong> way off to the right<\/strong> was more appropriate for our trip\u2026 got to the corner and some guy pulled out in front and was following a very slow 4 wheeler\u2026 so 20 was a bit<\/strong> fast for the curve\u2026 <\/p>\n

They were chasing them when we stopped to go in and damned if they weren\u2019t still chasing when we came out \u2013 of the casino\u2026<\/p>\n

It is not a church\u2026 never was\u2026 wild guesses might get it but it now is part of Cowley college\u2026 yep, never heard of that one<\/strong> either\u2026<\/p>\n

It was the Arkansas City High School and built in 1890\u2026 <\/p>\n

By-golly the wind<\/strong> was blowing and this fellow was swinging in the wind\u2026 but not in the right<\/strong> directions? just swinging around\u2026 <\/p>\n

If you note in the first paragraph\u2026 there was a 2 mile error in the Cherokee strip or the boundary of Kansas, but they are not admitting that..<\/p>\n
