It was a down day<\/strong> for us\u2026 no early start, no trip to the facility\u2026 fortunately we were in a \u201csafe\u201d area of the mall and could get out and walk\u2026 so I did a little walking<\/strong> and had lunch\u2026 ouch!\u2026 <\/p>\n

It was Mother\u2019s Day here as well as at home\u2026 I was not able to be home\u2026 <\/p>\n

We don\u2019t speak the language and they generally do not speak ours, so that makes life pretty difficult so we opted for places with signs and things to point at to order\u2026 First choice, McDonalds..  not exciting by any means but easier to make the understanding that way\u2026 and the menu is mostly using the same English terms as we know\u2026 The major problem is the costs\u2026 2 meals, 1 big Mac and 1 deluxe cost<\/strong> about $35 here.  No wonder there is so much absolute poverty.  The forced level of exchange, the forced \u2018nothing\u201d cost<\/strong> for fuel runs up the costs for everything else\u2026 20 gallons of gas<\/strong> might be $3 (I have not paid so don\u2019t really know but am told it is nothing).  On the other hand<\/strong> all other things are 2 to 3 times as expensive but people line up for it so there is money, just not very even in my estimate.  off the box and on to the walk around\u2026<\/p>\n

Of course they also have specialty stores\u2026<\/p>\n

Hidden on the back side<\/strong> there is a very small plant shop\u2026 I made a very short tour through as there was not much to see..but\u2026<\/p>\n

We may be at the wrong time as the flowers<\/strong> are not abundant like I would suspect.  They said they just came off a very hot and dry summer down here\u2026<\/p>\n

Back out on the mall circuit\u2026 speaking of specialty stores\u2026<\/p>\n

Then I captured one of the crew \u2013 a guy from the UK and he had to have a picture taken here\u2026 <\/p>\n

Tomorrow is back to a full day<\/strong> work\u2026 to day<\/strong> was half as we met up after lunch<\/strong> to start the haggle over out reports..<\/p>\n
