How many ways are there to make Chicken Tortilla soup?<\/p>\n
I like a good tortilla soup and will order<\/strong> it at restaurants<\/strong> when it is available. \u00a0I like the creamy version at McAlisters\u00a0and think it may be tops<\/strong> on my list but I have had numerous other versions that were pretty good. \u00a0Tonight I made one<\/strong> we bought at the Farmers Market<\/strong> last<\/strong> Saturday. \u00a0It is a dry mix pack and you just add the chicken<\/strong> and cheese<\/strong> or tortillas…<\/p>\n
I got chunk<\/strong> chicken<\/strong> and made the soup like it says, except I used Rotel tomatoes instead of diced tomatoes and that gave it a real kick… the taste was similar to some others but this one<\/strong> included rice so it was thick from the rice but still very\u00a0tasty…<\/p>\n
After dinner<\/strong> it has occurred to me that I have had chicken<\/strong> tortilla soup in maybe 25 different versions and just wonder how many other versions there are? The ingredients are generally the same… chicken, cilantro, garlic, etc… but the outcome is really different. \u00a0Just thinking on the keyboard tonight.<\/p>\n
