Well yesterday was a \u201cleaving\u201d story\u2026 we had finished what we intended in Canada and were to head back home<\/strong>\u2026 Things had gone ok\u2026 we missed the sever cold that can happen that far north and the temps were just hugging the freezing level (a little above and 10 to 15 below – freezing) the whole<\/strong> two weeks\u2026 Not bad\u2026 <\/p>\n

We had driven to Calgary late the day<\/strong> before as our flight was at 7am yesterday\u2026 unfortunately my day<\/strong> did not start well\u2026<\/p>\n

I had set<\/strong> my alarm for 4AM so we could leave and be at the airport before 5:30am\u2026 the lines and checking through customs can get pretty slow\u2026 I did not start the night too good as I had a hard time<\/strong> getting to sleep then woke at 2am and 3am\u2026 I should of gotten up at the point<\/strong> but figured a few more minutes would be ok\u2026 well those few turned into an Oh Shit look at 5:14am when I raised up and looked at the clock\u2026 In a mad rush I threw all my stuff in the bags that I had hoped to neatly pack\u2026 grabbed my stuff and trucked it down to a waiting partner\u2026 we threw stuff in the car<\/strong> and off to the airport\u2026 go there at about 5:35am\u2026 not bad in my books\u2026 then things got worse\u2026<\/p>\n

Checked in, got boarding pass, filled out the US customs forms and checked through the first check<\/strong> point<\/strong>\u2026 the sign says turn<\/strong> off your cell<\/strong> phones and electronics while going through customs\u2026 I turned off the company cell<\/strong> and \u2026\u2026 couldn\u2019t find my personal\u2026 looked in all the bags\u2026 CRAP\u2026 it must of fallen out in the car<\/strong>\u2026 had my partner guard the bags while I made a sprint back to the rental car<\/strong>\u2026 checked everything\u2026 not there\u2026 oh well, it is lost and I will just turn<\/strong> that in as lost\u2026 run back to the line<\/strong>, get through the first check<\/strong>\u2026 at least I was sharp enough to remember to take my tickets and passport when I went out\u2026. grabbed our bags and went to the customs line<\/strong>, which now was out the 2nd door\u2026 as we twisted and turned back and forth in the line<\/strong> I just figured I would turn<\/strong> it a lost phone and go buy a new one<\/strong>\u2026 but wait\u2026 half why through I am pulling my jacket and \u2026. hell<\/strong> I had put the damn phone on my belt not in my pocket or in the bags\u2026 I never do that when I am out\u2026 whew!\u2026 phone found\u2026 a lot<\/strong> more twisting and checking and questions at the counter and we are through to drop our checked bags\u2026 dumped those and got on in to the waiting area\u2026 I had to have some water<\/strong>\u2026 fat man running is not a pleasant thought or site so no pictures\u2026 <\/p>\n

We still had 45 minutes till plan<\/strong> time<\/strong> so we got to set<\/strong> and I enjoyed my banana and water<\/strong> for breakfast<\/strong>\u2026 a bit thin but so was our time<\/strong>\u2026<\/p>\n

We got on the plane\u2026 it was cold and the sun<\/strong> was just starting to come up\u2026 so I snapped a few pictures of the process<\/strong>\u2026<\/p>\n

We backed up a little and they \u201cde-iced\u201d the wings\u2026 wouldn\u2019t want too much ice on them\u2026
When this process<\/strong> is done they have some special trucks that come in and \u201csuck\u201d up the excess spray\u2026<\/p>\n

The sun<\/strong> coming up made a red hue on the distant foot hills\u2026 <\/p>\n

As we leave\u2026 downtown Calgary with the sun<\/strong> shining on the east face of the talk buildings\u2026<\/p>\n

\"SAM_7119\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Further south you can see the Canadian Rockies in the back ground and the remaining south end of Calgary below\u2026<\/p>\n

We arrived in Denver at 10AM\u2026 I had a l damn long wait for my final leg  home<\/strong> \u2026 was supposed to leave at 1:45 which is long to start with but we had about and hour delay waiting on the late plane to get in to take us on out\u2026 <\/p>\n

Once in OKC, I went to get my rent car<\/strong>\u2026 ooops the lady had not reserved it for me when she promised to do so\u2026 oh well they had cars and I got one<\/strong> to drive home<\/strong>\u2026 getting in about 7PM\u2026 I was pooped and in the whole<\/strong> process<\/strong> the only thing<\/strong> I lost was the luggage strap I had on the big suitcase\u2026 <\/p>\n

Today was a slow day<\/strong>\u2026 get the rent car<\/strong> back to the lot<\/strong>\u2026 got some breakfast<\/strong>\u2026 caught up on the mail and set<\/strong> up some bills to pay\u2026 worked on my expenses and some work stuff then went to the women##Q##s BB game<\/strong>\u2026 <\/p>\n

In the process<\/strong> I had to listen to the Men\u2019s game<\/strong>\u2026 they won in West Virginia in a poorly officiated game<\/strong> from the sound of things\u2026No. 14 Cowboys Top Mountaineers, 73-57<\/a><\/p>\n

At the Women\u2019s game<\/strong> it was time<\/strong> for payback\u2026 the girls gave the sooners the same thing<\/strong> they got in Norman\u2026 <\/p>\n

A nice way to end the day<\/strong> as the men\u2019s wrestling also won in the National duals and move to the finals tomorrow<\/strong>\u2026<\/p>\n

I suspect tomorrow<\/strong> will be slow as well\u2026 although I have a big list of things to get done\u2026 <\/p>\n
