The day started pretty good .\u00a0 Although my back was aching a lot<\/strong> I had a little ambition and decided I would get a few projects done\u2026<\/p>\n

First on my list\u2026 go have breakfast, and we did.\u00a0 Not a good thing<\/strong> to do but I went to What-A-Burger and had pancakes.\u00a0 I hope that my daily activity may have worn some of off , as I didn\u2019t stop<\/strong> for lunch.<\/p>\n

Once we made the rounds and got home I headed off to the shop.\u00a0 I was determined I would get a little more of the Power Switch project<\/a> done.\u00a0 I had gotten some of the pieces put in a few weeks ago but got off on other activities and have not gotten back to it recently.\u00a0 I completed what the author said was step one<\/strong> and was ready to test the points for voltage and such.\u00a0 I pulled the junk off my old variable power supply that I built 20 years ago (or more)\u2026 and found it would not adjust voltage?\u00a0 Before I hooked it to anything I tested it some and then noticed that one<\/strong> of the caps on the main board was blown?<\/p>\n

Ok that is now another project<\/strong> for later, so set<\/strong> it on the floor and out of the way.\u00a0 Figured out that I could use a 9volt battery for what I wanted for now and grabbed a couple of jumpers and hooked it up.<\/p>\n

Everything tested out as it should so n now I am ready to move on to the next set<\/strong> of installs and solder joints\u2026<\/p>\n

At this point I remembered that I wanted to get the front<\/strong> security camera swapped out so I set<\/strong> down and ensured it had a password in it and checked the settings one<\/strong> more time<\/strong> and then took it to the front<\/strong> of the house.<\/p>\n

I had expected that it would be a bit harder to install but it came right on and locked in on the wireless network first time.\u00a0 I made a some adjustments to it and then to the software that records the cameras and also set<\/strong> it so it now has a pictured on the web that updates nicely\u2026 I can check the system with getting into it by just opening the web page\u2026<\/p>\n

While I am out in the shop I also had the radio on and the JT65 running\u2026 it was hollering \u201cnew state\u201d so I had to stop<\/strong> my projects several times and pick up a few new states on 30MTR JT65HF\u2026 Which brings up another project<\/strong> that is not mine but effects me.\u00a0 My HRD version 6<\/a> log decided last week to quit updating my online logbook.\u00a0 It is a snippet from HRDLOG.net that I pull into my webpage<\/a> that also updates my stuff on QRZ for my logbook there<\/a>.\u00a0 All stopped on 1\/26\/2013 when the software glitched.\u00a0 It is on their list of things to fix as a known bug\u2026 strange that mine worked for awhile then quit?\u00a0 I had even had it working with JT65Alert for awhile then something grabbed an error and now I am unknown and my date and times are not sent for update to HRDlog.\u00a0 Seems it all works fine in LOTW and eQSL when I update them. Oh well I will just have to wait on that fix to happen. Oh and JT65HF\u2026 I picked up ND, MN, and WI in-between pieces and parts of the project<\/strong> board\u2026<\/p>\n

At about the point I had to stop<\/strong> so I could watch the OSU mens BB game against Kansas… what a game…<\/p>\n

Oklahoma State Stuns Kansas in Lawarence…<\/a>\u00a0 The first time<\/strong> we have won in\u00a0Lawrence\u00a0since 1989!<\/p>\n

I was not into all the sports but in checking we did good this weekend… forgot to follow the wrestling team<\/strong> as it was a Friday bout but #2 OSU beat #7 Missouri in Columbia<\/a>… the Equestrian team (#7) upset #5 Texas A&M <\/a>here in Stillwater as well this morning… the finally… well that didn’t go as well as the Women’s BB team<\/strong> just didn’t have the answer for the #1 team<\/strong> from Baylor… thank goodness we don’t have to play them again unless it is in the tournament and we don’t have to face Griner anymore…<\/p>\n

So it was a busy day… projects, sports, and just doing things we like to do… need<\/strong> to do this a lot<\/strong> more often… that means I need<\/strong> to retire soon and quit having to do work…<\/p>\n
