Today was a home<\/strong> day.  I got home<\/strong> last night<\/strong> and today was a day<\/strong> to get a bunch of STUFF done that had been waiting\u2026 Go through the mail, pay some bills, get a haircut, haul off the recycle\u2026 (always wonder why no one<\/strong> else can do this?)\u2026 I also picked up some repair parts I had made for the wife\u2019s dresser.  The wood runners under the drawers had gotten chewed up.  Mostly likely from overloading the drawers.  We just don\u2019t throw out enough stuff that we don\u2019t use<\/strong> anymore.  <\/p>\n

Anyway, after lunch and on the way home<\/strong> I hit<\/strong> the oldies station.  I like to listen to it when driving home<\/strong> sometimes, so I was rocking with 60\u2019s and 70\u2019s music and this particular song came on\u2026 That song struck some odd cord and a memory<\/strong> came back clear from 1968\u2026 some  time<\/strong> after the song came out, late 68 or early 69.  <\/p>\n

During that time<\/strong> a lot of use<\/strong> would hit<\/strong> Ken\u2019s  Pizza in Enid for a late night<\/strong> snack or maybe another dinner meal\u2026 and we had pizza.  I was not old enough to have a beer<\/strong> then \"Winking , but a few years later I remember hearing this same song when we were out having pizza and beer<\/strong> \u2026 Anyway that night<\/strong> maybe 5 or 6 of us had met up at Ken\u2019s for pizza and we were swapping lies and shoveling down that pizza.  Some girl\u2026 none of us knew her\u2026 kept playing this damn song\u2026 At that point I didn\u2019t even really care for the Beatles but man she was persistent that this song was going to play about every third play on the box\u2026 so much so it was ingrained with the memory<\/strong> of great times, pizza at Ken\u2019s, and swapping lies at the end of the evening.<\/p>\n
