It was a great evening\u2026 pretty nice day<\/strong> as well.  I had it in my mind that it was time for a big pot of beans\u2026 so last night<\/strong> I rinsed them and set<\/strong> them to soak\u2026 this morning I drained and rinsed again and \u201cdoctored\u201d them up with smoked sausage and spices and set<\/strong> in the slow cooker for an all day<\/strong> slow burn\u2026 they turned out pretty good.  Too bad my kids do not like beans but that is ok\u2026 I don\u2019t normally go for a lot of the stuff they like.   Last night<\/strong> we discussed that we missed the plain meals.  I miss the things like fried chicken<\/strong> dinners and meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans with bits of bacon, all the things mom used to make\u2026  so beans were quick and easy and I put them on.<\/p>\n

After dinner<\/strong> I set<\/strong> out on the back deck<\/strong> and enjoyed a glass or two of wine<\/strong> and did some reading\u2026 hoping that the distant rain storms<\/strong> would move a little further north but appears they will slide by to the south?  <\/p>\n

It was a great day.  I could handle a few more like this\u2026 work a little, nap a little and have a good meal or plain food\u2026 then top that off with quiet on the back deck<\/strong> and a glass of wine<\/strong> to calm all the things away\u2026 <\/p>\n

I was thinking about several things , nothing in particular but it came to mind that there are too many immediate cries for retaliation when some state their beliefs and it does not fit with the \u201cstatus quo\u201d of the others\u2026 My feeling is we would all still live in caves or teepees if there were not those that believed differently or did not agree with the norm or accepted\u2026 blind faith is dangerous for the many as well as the few\u2026just my thoughts on that\u2026 <\/p>\n
