The United States of America should be the happiest place<\/strong> on Earth<\/strong>. We just need to change our income-tax structure. Let me explain… <\/p>\n

After filing and paying my 2011 taxes, there was still a little money left in my checking account. So I decided to splurge a bit and take the wife and kids on a mini-vacation to Disneyland. As I stood in the ticket line<\/strong> outside “the happiest place<\/strong> on Earth,” I noticed the wide variety of people<\/strong> standing in line<\/strong> with me. <\/p>\n

There were tall people… short people… fat people… skinny people… people<\/strong> of every ethnic background<\/strong> imaginable. There were kids, teenagers, young adults, mid-lifers, and senior citizens. Every genetic and chromosomal background<\/strong> possible was represented, as was \u2013 I think \u2013 every income class. <\/p>\n

Certainly the gentleman in front<\/strong> of me with the tapered slacks, the Faconnable pullover shirt, and the Cole Haan walking shoes earned a decent living. In front<\/strong> of him, though, was a man wearing oversized denim shorts, a “Battle of the Bands 2009” t-shirt, and a stained baseball cap. He probably wasn’t doing as well financially. <\/p>\n

But here’s the thing… we all paid the same price for our admission tickets\u2026. <\/p>\n

we should be asking the U.S. government why it doesn’t have a tax policy similar to Disney’s admissions rate.\u201d <\/p>\n

I agree\u2026  if we all pay<\/strong> the same, no matter what we make, or have then how can that be a bad thing\u2026 and I mean the same as in percent of what we make\u2026 if we all pay<\/strong> 15% of what we make<\/strong> and I make<\/strong> $50,000 but you make<\/strong> $500,000  the dollar amount is different but we all hurt the same amount right?  so those that make<\/strong> millions<\/strong> will pay<\/strong> millions<\/strong> but those of us that don\u2019t do not have to pay<\/strong> the most\u2026 currently the convoluted tax schedule has about 50% of the people<\/strong> paying no tax\u2026 some wealthy pay<\/strong> no tax as well\u2026 so the middle of the road people<\/strong> pay<\/strong> most of the tax\u2026 and the 49% that are paying support everyone else \u2026. that is not fair either\u2026 <\/p>\n

Like Daddy always said\u2026. \u201cfigures never lie, but liars always figure\u201d (how to make<\/strong> you pay<\/strong> more than they do)\u2026<\/p>\n
