much greater than me."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I have been very busy and have not posted new items for some <strong>time<\/strong>.&nbsp; <strong>Sadness<\/strong> has engulfed me for the <strong>past<\/strong> few weeks and the business at <strong>hand<\/strong> has occupied my every thought\u2026 <\/p>\n<p>On July 27th I lost my Father.&nbsp; It was sudden, but not with out warning and relief.&nbsp; He was in the <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>process<\/strong> of more skin cancer treatment and they had worn him down much more than we had figured.&nbsp; He had several problems on Thursday evening and Friday morning of the 20th, and ended back in the hospital.&nbsp; He was weak but not visibly more than we had seen before.&nbsp; We all thought he would pull out of this episode like he has done so many others over the <strong>past<\/strong> <strong>year<\/strong>.&nbsp; I spent some <strong>time<\/strong> Saturday with him and again Tuesday and Wednesday.&nbsp; They actually released him to <strong>rehab<\/strong> on Wednesday,&nbsp; so he could build back his <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>strength<\/strong> like before but Thursday night it all came crashing down.&nbsp;&nbsp; His body and mind were ready and he came to a crashing halt then slipped away.&nbsp; I was there and it was hard to not see him respond and not give the nurses a problem.&nbsp; It was hard to watch but I held onto him as long as I could.&nbsp; Life will be hard now.&nbsp; It will take <strong>time<\/strong> to move on.&nbsp;&nbsp; I think he was a much <strong>greater man<\/strong> than me.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ishmaels.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/print-motorcycle.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; border-right-width: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px\" title=\"print motorcycle\" border=\"0\" alt=\"print motorcycle\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ishmaels.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/print-motorcycle_thumb.jpg?resize=328%2C470\" width=\"328\" height=\"470\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>whole<\/strong> <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>family<\/strong> was in on Friday as we went over the arrangements, made some <strong>last<\/strong> visits and emptied his apartment.&nbsp; Due to his wanted to be cremated the final service will be a <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>month<\/strong> away when we can all gather once again. <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On a happier note, my grandson was here for the <strong>weekend<\/strong> and much of the <strong>last<\/strong> week.&nbsp; I know that I did not pay enough attention to him, but my mind was on many other things.&nbsp; We did however spend a little <strong>time<\/strong> together and went fishing on Tuesday\u2026 of all things he has bested me and caught a bigger fish than I have\u2026 that was an <strong>extreme joy<\/strong> in a week of extreme sadness\u2026 <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ishmaels.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/SAM_4539.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; border-right-width: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px\" title=\"SAM_4539\" border=\"0\" alt=\"SAM_4539\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ishmaels.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/SAM_4539_thumb.jpg?resize=493%2C371\" width=\"493\" height=\"371\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Today I made a <strong>trip<\/strong> by the lawyers <strong>office<\/strong> to leave items for him to work on but my real <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>reason<\/strong> was to get to my <strong><u>Oldest- Best Friends<\/u><\/strong> retirement <strong>reception<\/strong>.&nbsp; He worked in the same <strong>place<\/strong> 37 years and he was respected by so many.&nbsp; It seemed that most of them were showing up for the <strong>reception<\/strong>\u2026 Again I think he was a better man than me.&nbsp; I am certain he photo\u2019s better although he complained that my hair was not all white like his\u2026 <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ishmaels.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/SAM_4554.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; border-right-width: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px\" title=\"SAM_4554\" border=\"0\" alt=\"SAM_4554\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ishmaels.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/SAM_4554_thumb.jpg?resize=489%2C368\" width=\"489\" height=\"368\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Boy I am <strong>going<\/strong> to have to <strong>figure<\/strong> out how to get rid of that stupid smile!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It was a good <strong>day<\/strong> today. <\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cAnd that is all I have to say about
