Well it was a lazy day<\/strong>\u2026 I have a big list of things I should do and none of them were done today\u2026 well I guess visiting the Oklahoma State Botanical Garden<\/a> was on the list\u2026 it is always on that list\u2026 <\/p>\n

Morning started slow\u2026 just couldn\u2019t get rolled out early but did get around by 8am\u2026 then took off to get some breakfast<\/strong> as the wife went to her exercise class\u2026   My breakfast??? a Spudnut sausage roll!\u2026 them things are so soft and so good\u2026 anyway took that to the park and while there called Dad to see how he was getting on this morning\u2026 after that I made it home<\/strong> by the back road<\/strong> \u201cLakeview\u201d and saw some changes\u2026 They are dozing down a lot<\/strong> of the old damaged trees on Range road<\/strong>.  They were damaged by tornado a year or two ago and just were not looking good so I guess they are taking some of them out\u2026 <\/p>\n

Once home<\/strong> I refilled the water<\/strong> and seed for the sparrow trap\u2026 we have 3 now\u2026 slowly but surely I will then those pests down\u2026 then I got the newspaper and did a little reading on the big happening in and around Stillwater.  Not much, I think the paper today was maybe 6 pages\u2026 and most of that is ads and such\u2026 oh well I don\u2019t think we will renew that subscription, may check<\/strong> about an on-line version?  save the paper and planet you know\u2026 <\/p>\n

After that we discussed what to do today and it came that the Botanical Garden was having open house today from 9 to 3 so we determined to get over and see the new additions.  <\/p>\n

Of course we left and I forgot my camera so there are not current pictures for this post\u2026 <\/p>\n

The new stuff is called the \u201cStudio Gardens\u201d\u2026<\/a> pretty interesting as they have a lot<\/strong> of different small concept gardens in this group\u2026 gives you a lot<\/strong> more ideas on what you can do in your own yard\u2026 which is a bad idea as we now have too many things that need<\/strong> to be improved on?  In this new area there are things like the \u201cgreen cottage\u201d which has all manner of \u201cgreen\u201d things included in it\u2026 including solar<\/strong> heat, solar<\/strong> elec., etc.     Here is a snip from their page:<\/p>\n

Another small section is the Birds, Bees and Butterflies and boy were the butterflies busy on some of this\u2026 they were hitting some plants a lot<\/strong> more than others but they were everywhere.. <\/p>\n

If you haven’t been out there in some time<\/strong> you should stop<\/strong> at the new entrance on the south side off Hwy 51 and check<\/strong> out the trail in the new sections\u2026 very nice. <\/p>\n

When we left there we went on in to town and filled the car<\/strong>\u2026 OUCH! even with the price down a bunch it was near $50.  Then we pulled into a \u201ccar<\/strong> wash\u201d\u2026 not one<\/strong> of the regular ones, but one<\/strong> that a bunch of kids were manning to make money\u2026 we donated to the cause and they gave the car<\/strong> a decent once over\u2026 It could probably use several good going over sessions but we ended it with the just once\u2026 we then checked out some flower spots to try and find something for a special pot but just didn\u2019t see what we were looking for, made a stop<\/strong> at the West Wal-Mart and actually walked out with out buying anything\u2026 Imagine that? <\/p>\n

Once home<\/strong> it was lazy time<\/strong> again\u2026 then some quick fix-in supper of burrito and more of the left-over \u201cgreen chile\u201d\u2026 I think I better stop<\/strong> with that as I am really getting \u201cgassed\u201d up over the been burritos now\u2026 <\/p>\n

I then did another plant transplant from an old pot to several new ones\u2026 this time<\/strong> it was the airplane plant\u2026 splitting it out some\u2026 hope it lives\u2026 and that was about it other than some time<\/strong> on the back deck watching the sun<\/strong> go down\u2026 it damn sure was not as cool tonight was it had been last night\u2026 in fact it was just a bit on the hot and muggy side, but with the fan turned on it was ok\u2026 and that was the day<\/strong>\u2026 <\/p>\n

I really need<\/strong> to get some stronger \u201cspirit\u201d and get some things done\u2026 maybe tomorrow?   <\/p>\n
