Well I have spent the last<\/strong> couple<\/strong> of days working<\/strong> on my taxes.  All I can think about is that old saying of \u201cthere is nothing<\/strong> more sure than Death and Taxes<\/strong>\u201d\u2026 I say \u201cthere is nothing<\/strong> more sure than Taxes<\/strong> will be Death of us\u201d\u2026 What an absolute mess they have become.  The \u201cless well off\u201d people<\/strong> have no idea<\/strong> how to take advantage of all the loopholes and work a rounds\u2026 the middle<\/strong> of the \u201croad<\/strong> bunch\u201d (I think I may be in this group), can\u2019t find enough of those advantages to not pay<\/strong> more than our fair share<\/strong>\u2026 The well off (those that can hire specialists) get to take advantage of most of the good loopholes\u2026 and the politicians<\/strong> keep getting paid for every new wrinkle they can put in the code<\/strong> to make<\/strong> it more difficult so that only they know where all the holes<\/strong> are\u2026 <\/p>\n

I just hate this time<\/strong> of year<\/strong>, waiting for all those damn forms to come in and getting it all put together, then sweating blood while I figure<\/strong> out if I get by on what they already took out or if I have to add to it.  Sure would like to go in knowing what the tax is and that it is charged on what I buy<\/strong> up front<\/strong> and not have to worry about all these other things\u2026 oh well, do not figure<\/strong> to see that happen in my lifetime\u2026 <\/p>\n
