I know of several town I Oklahoma that are fairly notorious for speed traps\u2026 Experience.  On that list generally are small town on major roads.  They really like to \u201cup\u201d the revenue by putting extra watch on the major road<\/strong> as it passes through their area.  I know of three of those that I am very familiar with \u2013 only caught once in one<\/strong> of them but having driven those road<\/strong> for many years I am fully aware of the area and have slowed to well below speed limits in both for those years\u2026   Those three are:<\/p>\n

Dover Oklahoma on Highway 81 \u2013 They will get you there because the road<\/strong> has a nice curve on the north end of town and they can set<\/strong> anywhere and you won\u2019t even know it.<\/p>\n

Minco Oklahoma on Highway 81 \u2013 They really like the south end of town as it does the same thing<\/strong> and has a slow limit<\/strong> for several miles out of town\u2026 <\/p>\n

Rush Springs, Oklahoma on Highway 81 \u2013 you top a hill<\/strong> right<\/strong> at the main crossing road<\/strong> to main street<\/strong>, although you are a long way from any inhabitants but it is a good spot to catch<\/strong> you coming a bit<\/strong> to fast over the hill<\/strong>\u2026<\/p>\n

Many other small town on this highway attract there fair share<\/strong>\u2026 <\/p>\n

One that is a larger town but seems to be notorious for its speed trap on the East side<\/strong> of town is Enid, OK<\/strong> \u2013 off Hwy 412 on the east end\u2026 The slow down is about 2 miles out and they like to wait at the curve or a bit<\/strong> further out on a cross road<\/strong> that they can hide in\u2026 (got caught there several years ago not paying attention and not slowing down enough by the cross road<\/strong>\u2026 on the way in you have to be at 55 but on the way out \u2013 same spot you can be doing 70\u2026 go figure<\/strong>\u2026 here is what I saw today<\/strong>\u2026 they were waiting!..<\/p>\n
