We left early this morning and headed West. Have one more Christmas and some visiting to do before the week is over. On the way of a 12 hour journey I got a couple of pictures… not much else to talk about..
Snow in the Panhandle makes it look even more desolate than it is… nothing for miles and miles in any direction…
We had been seeing a lot of tumble weeds in the fences and along the roads that last 100 miles but just west of Clayton, NM… it was an awesome site. Not sure I had ever seen them stacked this high and thick… note the road sign in the middle… those things are about 8 feet or more off the ground…
And this one… that is a Historical marker sign… that marker is somewhere down below… and looking down the road it ran for a really long ways as well…
Beyond that excitement it was a normal trip… made more stops that we plan for, was slower than we planned but made I to our end point in Colorado Springs about right.
More visiting and Christmas stuff… and late dinner…
