Latest from the WSJ…on CEO pay
Selectively I picked the oil and gas group as I have way too much holding in that group as far as investments… didn’t sell enough when I should have but …. oh well…
Two in particular stick out to me…comparable service company CEO’s… one stock only went down 3.6% but the CEO pay dropped 18.9%… the other the stock dropped by 21.6% and he only lost 1.5% in pay?
Who is getting paid for performance here?
| 57 | Lesar, David J. | Halliburton | -21.6% | $20.6 Million | -1.5% |
| 78 | Kibsgaard, Paal | Schlumberger | -3.6% | $18.5 Million | -18.9% |
But in comparison to the total of the oil and gas industry big shot?
CEO Pay vs. Performance
Executive compensation is increasingly geared toward results, but some CEOs still got big paydays even when their investors didn’t do so well.
