Well what did we do this weekend… not much… went to a wresting match Friday night… we won that… went to a BB game Saturday … we lost that (really poor shooting show)… I played radio and worked on those log ideas posted before and then Sunday we went to an 89th birthday party… Sherries Uncle is 89 and they wanted to get the family together so why not have a party… His comment was “They don’t think I will make 90 so they decided to have it this year”… ok, you look at these pictures and tell me… I figure he may be around for quit awhile…
daughters, nieces, Sister-in-law, Son-in-law, etc.… making the rounds..
Most of the immediate family… although his sister and brother were late or the family wanted cake?

His signature look… I first met him when I was in High School ( and not one even close to where they live). I was in FFA and he was a VoAg instructor in a school in our district. I was at a district meeting with our officers and he had brought theirs along with his twin daughters who were , I think, running for district or state sweethearts… you can see them in the above pictures but you have to pick them out… Not sure why I remember all that but it was held in Covington, OK… about 1967 or 68… That was my first meeting of L.E. of course I am sure he has no recollection of it and I have never brought it up as it was not a big deal, other than to me as an office of our FFA chapter…
That was what we did for the weekend and today was a holiday so it was a bit slow too… I got the motor home fired up and ran for awhile…need to exercise it once a month, even if I don’t drive it… and I got a small radio project a bit closer to completion… parts mounted on a carry board… still need a stand and to complete the wiring for power… and we took the car in for some needed maintenance… ouch… needs a new headlight, fan motor is whining so figure replace it, about time for a tune-up so go on and get it done… change oil and filter, etc.… probably will need tires next oil change trip (about 5 months)… keeping an maintaining a car is expensive but better keep it up as to buying new…
Now I am waiting a chance to do some more radio… my first-est hobby…
