Note todays wind high was over 30mph… now that is just cold no matter what temp below 40 it is…
It was a day of frustration, sort of… wasn’t bad this morning but I didn’t get anything done… We went to breakfast before taking Sherrie to a Dr apt… related to here holding the Grandson too long in one arm last month.. ha! then I took here to work… got a reprogram done on the APRS radio in the car and then back in for lunch… Thai food today… gooooood…
Grandma’s arm ache problem…
This after noon I started on the “weeding” process… where I take all of last years receipts and bills and stuff… separate them and move to a “TAX” box so I can figure my taxes later from what is deductible, what is not, what fits in what categories, etc.… while there I decided that this year, I try to get them all electronic and stop the paper bills… less mail to deal with and if we are not here for a week or so then I don’t have to worry as I already have the bill, notice and payment set up…
I went through some that I had autodraft set up on and started changing the paper to email billing… saving all the old bills (electronic) so I have records of them put away… got all the gas, electric and phone stored and save and change then went to the Sat TV… bill and online it says my next bill is going up about $20!!! I had been getting decent retention savings by calling in every 6 months or year but it was all going away this month… ouch… so I called to see what I could get… well the first level couldn’t get m me anything but talked about getting a cheaper package… and I put up with that for about 20 minutes… then she transferred me to the second level service and all they would give me was a $5 discount and a free replacement of my DVR? I put up with that round for about 30 minutes then finally just hung up… I have a special deal from the cable company for $30/month as opposed to $85/month for Sat…? I may have to try cable for a year and see how it goes… as they say no contracts but the price is only good for one year at the $29… ? will see although I give up some channels it may be worth the swap for one year then try Sat again as a new customer for a half price deal? who knows… I may keep the Sat and just put it on hold if it brings my bill to zero? and let the damn equipment set for
awhile?
I hate that you have to be a new subscribe to get the good rates and old , steady paying, people get the shaft and no “LOYALTY” discounts… same with cell phones… or used to be… great deals for new customers and piss-poor for the existing…
Tonight was the OSU Girls BB game and they rebounded real well from the loss to Baylor by putting a thump on Texas Tech… if they played that hard all the time, they shouldn’t loose any more games but I am sure there will be some slumps and shooting problems yet to come…
Last week , late Christmas on New Years Day for them… it is a blanket with a head thing…
He liked the paper it made noise but then , like all things, they head to the mouth…
With the cold weather a problem exists… and last night I caught this going on just about sun down… hundreds of ducks and geese making multiple circles… looking for open water..
Nope, not this one… the water is hard…
