Maybe other states have this problem but as I remember in Colorado, a long time ago, it was not this way?
In Oklahoma, if you purchase a “special tag” you have to keep the original tag. Whats up with that? and you have to keep renewing the old tag and you have to keep it in the vehicle at all times? What a joke. If you get a special tag and it is registered with the Tax commission and the DMV then why in Gods name do we also have to keep renewing and “date tagging” and keep in the vehicle the standard tag as well as the “special tag”….
This, in my hum-BULL opinion, is ancient and ludicrous and extremely wasteful of our tax dollars. I am happy to pay the extra charge for the “special tag” but would like only have one tag to renew yearly and keep on the vehicle… oh and my “special tag” is my Amateur Radio Operators call sign – not some funky hidden message – although to most people it looks that way….?
