This Web Site began as a tribute
to Mason Yarbrough and as a method to share information with Yarbrough family members.

From the first moment the site was published, however, I knew that it would be not only devoted to one Marine Raider, but to the memory of all those lost on Makin that day in August 1942.

Please assist with information.

If you are a family member of one of these men, please feel free to contact me regarding a contribution of information for this site.  We would love to add information, photos, or links to any articles from your local newspapers.
